A thought provoking and heart warming book about friendship and change. A dog, mouse and cat live by the sea in their charming beach hut. Cat did the house work, dog looked after the garden and mouse did the cooking. One day a stranger blows to shore and brings with him gifts from the "Winds Of Change". Cat, mouse and dog soon realise its ok to do things a bit differently. 

This picture book is warm and witty with a wonderful message of friendship and that sometimes its good to do things differently. 

Wonderful illustrations and great character development. With lots of textured illustrations and plenty of detail to look at. There is lots of thing for young children to spot and keep them engaged within the story, from the little details like mouse's recipe for fondue to dogs amusing bone garden. The textures within the illustrations from the delicate hatching and use of collage really bring the book to life.

The characters are witty and engaging and take you on a journey into their little world. The characters expressions are great and you really get a sense on how they are feeling.The pacing within this book is superb and flows together nicely. With detailed single pages and little vignettes to striking double page spreads.  This book is funny and charming and is sure to make children giggle.
